Rebuild facial features with precision and care after skin cancer removal, using advanced reconstructive techniques tailored to your needs.
Mohs Reconstruction
Mohs reconstruction is performed after Mohs micrographic surgery to restore the appearance and function of areas where skin cancer was removed. Commonly used for the face, nose, lips, and eyelids, reconstruction may involve skin grafts, local tissue flaps, or layered closure techniques. Every repair is thoughtfully planned to support healing, preserve facial harmony, and achieve natural-looking results.

Understanding the Procedure
STEP 1
Consultation

After your Mohs surgery is complete, you’ll meet with your reconstructive surgeon to evaluate the area and determine the best approach for repair.
STEP 2
Surgical Plan

Depending on the size, depth, and location of the defect, your surgeon may recommend a local flap, skin graft, or layered closure to restore appearance and function.
STEP 3
Procedure

The reconstruction is performed using delicate techniques, often under local anesthesia. Care is taken to match skin tone, contour, and facial features.
STEP 4
Recovery

Most patients experience mild swelling or bruising, with sutures removed in 5–7 days. Healing continues gradually, with scar improvement over time.
